Frequently Asked Questions Q: Can I use my regular checking or savings account? A: Yes, you can sign up with the bank account that you would like your recurring offertory or one time donation to be drafted from. Q: Can I use my credit card: A: Yes, you may use your credit card which has the added bonus of earning points, cash back or other benefits your card may offer. Q: Can I easily adjust my donation amount? A: Yes, just log into your personal account and make the change in your donation anytime. Q: How are my contributions automatically deducted from my account? A: When you create your account, you enter your credit card and/or bank account information and then specify the amount you wish to contribute. Your contribution will be transferred from your account to the church bank account. Q: When will my contribution be deducted from my account? A: Your electronic contribution will be debited on the date you specify on the donation form. Q: If I do not write checks, then how do I balance my checkbook? A: Since your contribution is made at a pre-established time, you simply record it in your check register on the appropriate date. Electronic contributions are recorded for you on your bank statement as well as your online reports. Q: Without a cancelled check, how can I prove I made my contribution? A: Your bank statement gives you an itemized list of electronic transactions as well as your online reports. Q: Can I contribute different amounts to different offerings? Can they be withdrawn at different times? Can I use different accounts for the contributions? A: The system provides you the capability to give different amounts to different offerings at different times, HOWEVER you will have to do each one separately. For example, you are able to give your regular weekly offering on the 1st of the month and your 2nd collection offering on the 10th of the month. You are able to use any number of bank and/or credit card accounts for your offerings. Q: What if I change bank accounts? A: Simply login and update your bank account information in your profile. Q: Is Online Giving risky? A: It is less risky than writing checks or bringing cash to church. Electronic contributions cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed and have an extremely high rate of accuracy. Q: What if I want to stop using Online Giving? A: You can cancel your authorization by deleting your credit card and/or bank account information along with your donation dates.
