The Children’s Chalk Rosary on Saturday afternoon was wonderful!! About a dozen families prayed a decade of the Glorious Mysteries together, enjoyed some delicious cider donuts, fresh fall apples, and cold apple cider, and played on the playground: in their rain jackets and umbrellas! God’s Blessings rained down on this event, as parishioners gathered to share their faith, socialize, laugh and Praise the Lord! The BEAUTY of “faith like children” was evident as the kids learned a walk through the large blacktop chalk drawing of the rosary beads and what they mean. It was new to some, and a fun helpful review for many! What a beautiful way to celebrate October Rosary Month by adoring Jesus through honoring His Blessed Mother, Mary! Thank you to Josephine Bove for providing the rosaries from the Religious Ed office, and to Mrs. O’Rourke for allowing us use of the St. Mary School playground and parking lot, and for the many hands who helped and also brought refreshments: Lauren Buckley, Colleen Howarth, Meg Whitbeck, & Elizabeth Gmelin. The Children’s Liturgy volunteers look forward to hosting another event soon! We hope you will join us!
