A Warm & Welcoming Catholic Family of Faith, Love & Service
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ --Galatians 6:2
WHAT IS IT?
Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one caring lay ministry that brings Christ’s healing love to people suffering everything from illness and grief to family troubles and job loss. Our lay caregivers are equipped and empowered to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting (they do not provide advice).
HOW IT WORKS
If you find our ministry might be helpful to you, contact us. You will meet with one of our Leaders who will then put you in touch with the appropriate Stephen Ministry Minister to visit with on a regular basis (usually weekly). Women are paired with women and men with men. These visits continue for however long is helpful to you…months or even years.
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry. The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship always remains confidential.
Our Parish has over 20 commissioned Stephen Ministers who have received 50 hours of training and are prepared to provide, under the guidance of our Pastor and priests, quality Christian care to those in need

MISSION
The mission of the Stephen Ministries organization is summed up in St. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. “To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12–13).
